Composed in 2017 when I was living with my family in the south of France, ‘La Dame à la Fenêtre’ (The Lady at the Window) is available as a unison song as well as for 2-part choir in either French of English. Written in the style of art song, ‘La Dame à la Fenêtre’ has an expressive and lyrical melody with an extended pitch range and could equally be performed as a solo or duet. The song depicts a grand French lady in her later years reminiscing about her colourful life, lending itself to female trebles.
