Commissioned in 2019 by The Joubert Singers of Hunters Hill, Sydney.  This composition for SATB choir with piano accompaniment is a setting of the poem In the Forest by Melburnian poet, Emilie Zoey Baker.  The music captures the fantasy forest world depicted in Baker’s poem, combining modal tonalities and expressive lyrical melodies within the choral parts and surrounded by the piano accompaniment.
